Luxury private car tours to Somerset from Bath. Explore the mystical and historical highlights of South West England.

The rolling hills of Somerset are packed with stunning views and legendary history. Let us take you on a private day trip of Somerset from Bath to discover its history, landscape and food.

One of the most popular attractions in Somerset is a private tour of Glastonbury. Glastonbury Abbey is believed to be the earliest Christian site in Britain and it has long been associated with King Arthur. For hearty souls who can cope with a steep path, the views of the Somerset levels from Glastonbury Tor are amazing. The High Street has many 'New Age' shops.

Nearby Wells, England’s smallest city, is a great choice of destination to combine with a private tour of Glastonbury as they’re both a short car trip from Bath. Wells has a beautiful cathedral, and next door are the stunning gardens of the Bishop’s Palace. Tour the streets of Wells to walk in the steps of the characters from Poldark, Doctor Who, Hot Fuzz, Elizabeth and many more.

There’s more to Somerset than just history, there’s a number of cave systems under the rolling hills. It’s easy to tour Cheddar Gorge from Bath as it’s only a short, and scenic, car trip away.

Dotted throughout the county are other historic properties and gardens which add to any tour of Somerset. Visit Montacute House, Dunster castle, or even Barrington Court - a gorgeous Tudor Manor House and garden.

You can be sure of a great meal in Somerset. Whatever your tastes, from classic English pubs nestled in the countryside to contemporary city dining, we’ll be able to recommend the perfect stop for your tour. Somerset is home to Cheddar cheese and scrumpy, the traditional West Country cider. Why not visit a working cider mill, then enjoy a glass in their garden with a platter of Somerset cheese.
